US 385 Resurfacing North of Cheyenne Wells
24/7 Width restriction of 11 feet
This width restriction will be in place 24/7 through the work zone until project completion. This is anticipated to be by late June.
About the Project:
This is a resurfacing and safety improvement project on a 16-mile stretch of U.S. Highway 385 north of Cheyenne Wells. Work includes adding up to six inches of new asphalt along the project corridor, repairing a bridge deck, performing full depth reclamation on over three miles of highway, and making other safety improvements.

Work Schedule:
- Work began on Tuesday, Sept. 6 and entered winter shutdown on Dec. 8.
- Crews will return on approximately April 17, 2023 to finish resurfacing mainline US 385 north of the east curve and make safety improvements along the entire project corridor.
- Work will be performed during daylight hours (hours will vary).
- A 24/7 width restriction will be in place for any wide loads over 11 feet from April 26 to mid-May.
Traffic Impacts:

- A width restriction of 11-feet will thereafter be in place from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m.
